Fantastic weather & amazing places to visit.
7.0Fantastic Location
− The beds were so uncomfortable, new mattress definitely needed & sofa & chairs uncomfortable too. Needs replacing. Everything else was excellent.
Great village, but would opt for a different house next time.
7.0The house is located in a perfect spot in the Langdale Valley. Lots of walks straight from the door. The house is spacious for just 2 bedrooms. Our family consists of two teenage boys, both 6ft+ and they can make a place feel cramped! The kitchen is well equipped. We found the beds to be comfy with clean sheets. Excellent internet connection.
− The house is tired and in need of some love. The kitchen was dated and needed a good scrub, but all the appliances worked. Work tops, kitchen bin and dining table all requided cleaning before we used them. The bathroom had lots of mould. We didn't mind showering in it and didn't find the shower temperamental as others mentioned. But I would not have wanted to bathe little ones in there. Bathroom seals were moudly, and grout was mouldy. It didn't even feel properly cleaned. The house just feels as if it needs a very deep clean and a new bathroom. The entrance hall smelt damp. Parking was problematic due to neighbours' parking inconsiderately, we assumed they were also holiday homes. Spiral staircase over 3 floors may be a problem for some.
A rather disappointing stay sadly.
5.0The location was good and the fact it had a washer and dryer was helpful.
− The whole place was very tired and grubby. The house was dirty. We found rubbish under the bed from previous guest. We found several small gem stones in on the living room floor which were a serious chocking hazard for our twin babies. The sofas were completely flat, old and uncomfortable. The bed in the master room was hard, old and also it didn’t have a dust sheet. The bathroom has lots of black mould. The garden was overgrown with brambles.
Great house
10.0Location, parking, downstairs storage for boots and coats
Excellent property... if only they could have sorted the weather!
8.0Very good location for Langdale, Ambleside and Coniston areas. Great walks from the door without using the car. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable living room and bedroom, and bathroom good.
− Some items in the kitchen were greasy but this is down to previous guests really and not cleaners because they can't check everything.
Good

− Cleanliness on arrival was poor. Lounge sofas need replacing.
