Relaxing and private stay with gorgeous forest nearby
9.0Beautiful location, lovely lodge, clean and private. Hot tub was lovely and checked everyday. Well kept all around us. Kitchen was well equipped with a good size fridge freezer. Welcome pack was handy for guidance and ideas. Nearby electric car charge point at the Creebridge filling station. We got cracking weather and dandered into town over the bridge a few times to grab ice cream at the Brigend , absolute bargain of a place for light bites.
− Being really really pernickity, the "park" wasn't really usable other than the swing, bit of a boggy zone but honestly, it's not a big issue as plenty of decent places to go to nearby. Would only matter if you weren't out and about and wanted to distract the kids for a bit. It's definitely more of a grown up vibe on site and even with a wee one, we prefer that.

5.0Lodge was great but the facilities not so much
− Paid a lot of money specifically for a hot tub stay, unfortunately we chose a weekend when the weater was quite windy, this is nobody’s fault but the hot tub cover kept blowing off. There was clips on the hot tub cover hut not the hot tub so there was no way to clip it down, the hot tub couldn’t heat up and was unusable the cover wouldn’t stay on. A
Lovely Autumn break in Newton Stewart
9.0Location was lovely, lodge was clean and cosy, hot tub was definately hot!! Far enough away from the other lodges to have some privacy, not noisy. The town of Newton Stewart is within walking distance, so it was nice not to have to use the car every day.
− Couldn't work out the heating controls, temperature controllers on the walls, but no radiators or underfloor heating, still not sure how the lodge was heated.
Had a great stay here and the location and accommodation was great

− Some storage for bikes would have been good for us. Maybe twin beds in one of the rooms would have been good to keep the kids separate.
