We absolutely love staying in the little Norway cottage in Arco De Calheta
10.0We especially enjoyed the privacy of the beautiful and spacious garden. The cottage is spacious also, and contains everything you need. A peaceful, private retreat. We loved how many options there are for outdoor seating, we kept discovering new parts of the garden through the week. The bench round the right hand side of the cottage overlooking the ocean was our favourite spot.
− It is a long walk to the seafront as there isn't a straight-as-the-crow-flies route. You have to follow the roads and it takes a good while. Not a massive issue however!

3.0− starting from the beginning on the website it says check-in from 9.30, because we were practically there, it turned out that we could check in only at 14, when we collected the keys from the office, which had a break, so it took almost 30 minutes. The lady who came with us was very nice, but unfortunately she did not know the address. The cottage has a beautiful garden and a well-equipped kitchen, located in a quiet area. Unfortunately the place was dirty, there was a used condom on the ground under the radiator! The house was full of bugs and ants and smelled of damp. The large bed in the bedroom was very uncomfortable and the pillows hard, the second bed in the room very short, not suitable for people over 1.75 cm.

Please note that check-in after 23:00, on Sundays or on Portuguese bank holidays has an extra charge of EUR 30, to be paid on arrival.
