Hot and sweaty

Location was great, price was good, toilet and shower facilities were great. Kitchen facilities were great. Advertised as having no WiFi but there was which was an absolute bonus for the kids!!

− Advertised with air con, got there and it was only a box air con unit that didn’t cool the place at all. No fly screens on the front or back door, massive gap under back door so bugs were constantly crawling under it. Ants everywhere!!

− The property was dirty, sheets weren’t changed, no toilet paper. Very dissatisfied.

We prepared ourselves.

− It was sad to see that there was no toilet paper in both the toilets and very less laundries liquid . We couldn’t find the dishwashing scrub and very less liquid. Floor was bit dirty and all the dirt was stuck on our feet. You should have AC now in summer and it is getting hotter now. That would have better. It was having a big enough space for kids and playing areas.

− Well if you really want to know. If I didn't know the manager I probably would of demanded a better option. So booked this house because it said it had aircon. As this was a medical necessity. The supposed Air conditioning did not work properly and did nothing. And during a heatwave. With an elderly Parkinsons patient who can't regulate body temperature. I wasn't impressed. The doors had no screens so couldn't leave doors open for the breeze without getting eaten alive by bugs and mosquitoes. My daughter was severely attacked by them and has allergies to them. The Lawns were 2 foot high in some places including both entries front and back. My poor mother was petrified the whole time about snakes in the long grass. The front verandah light couldn't turn on because it flickerd constantly. The fridge wasn't cold enough to keep milk fresh longer than a day. the sheets and blankets clean but the quilts were disgusting. There was dirty cutlery and dishes in draws amongst clean ones. green moss growing around outside of bottom of shower. Mouldy curtains. Be a great lil place to stay if u had no cares and just wanted to party maybe. But I'd personally never stay there again. unless these issues were addressed. The advertised restaurant and other facilities are within the local town. Not the actual property however as a local, thankfully I was aware of that when I booked. Hopefully the newly appointed property manager can take some of this on board and get the owner to improve on a few things. As it could be a great lil holiday rental.
