Brilliant hosts. Very accomodating to our motorbikes. Breakfast was excellent. A perfect stop on our Scottish tour for the 3 of us.

Wonderful stay, home away from home

My host Janice was very lovely. She met me at the front door and showed me where the guest lounge & breakfast table was, and where my room. I was a little confused at first as I was sure I'd booked (and paid for) a family room. Janice was so apologetic about the mix up and immediately moved me to the room I had booked/paid for. It was a large room with a lovely double bed which was so comfortable I didn't want to get out of the next morning. The bathroom was right next to my room even though the description said private bathroom. To me, a 'private bathroom' means no one else has access to it. Unfortunately that was not the case. It was a good thing that no other guests were booked in that night. I would have been most upset if I'd had to share a bathroom. The little extra touches like the chocolates in a glass on the dresser, were a nice touch. Toiletries were beautifully fragranced, and the shower was strong and hot which I was grateful for after a long day of driving.

1. The description stated 'Private bathroom' but that was not the case. Having to share a bathroom and toilet that I thought was private was not what I was expecting. It was good that there were no other guests that used the bathroom. On line 1vofvthe description, it states 'private bathroom', and on tgevsame line it says toilet. And on the 4th line it states shared toilet. This is all rather misleading. I think they need to updatevtheur list of things included. 2. Although the description stated that there was a fridge, it wasn't in the room but in the guest loungeroom, which didn't matter but it was a little misleading. 3. There was also supposed to be an outdoor dining area but I wasn't shown where this was. 4. It also stated there was an alarm clock but there wasn't one, not that it mattered as most people use their mobile phones these days....just another misleading thing. Maybe they need to update their services list. 5. It stated there was executive lounge access...again a little misleading. The guest lounge was nice but I had assumed that as I was paying for a 'family room with garden view', executive lounge access sounded as if that was what I was entitled to, whereas everyone had access to the guest lounge. Again, they need to update their description. 6. Description states there was a toaster, but again, this was not in the room but in the guest loungeroom. I know this all sounds petty, but if running a business, I'd suggest updating the services details. I missed saying goodbye when I was leaving but Janice messaged me just after I left.
