The Worst Experience on the Camino - Stay Elsewhere!
2.0This inn was the worst. The front desk greeter was very rude to our group as we checked in. It’s advertised as having ac. It did not. There are no screens on the windows so when we opened them for air, we were eaten up by mosquitos and flies. When we inquired about fans, we were told they were on order. Keys jammed in doors and were very difficult to open. Our shower head was broken and had to be hand-held. Mold was along the walls in the bathroom and several in our group reported broken shower doors that allowed bathrooms to flood when the shower ran. Dinner was fine. The next morning, we woke up to a minimal breakfast and the sole staff member on site very sick. An ambulance arrived to take her to hospital but apparently there was no other staff member on site to check guests out. We left our keys on the front desk and gratefully left. There are plenty of albergues and inns in town. Pick one of those. We are walking the Camino and have stayed in charming, basic inns that provided clean spaces and excellent customer service. This was not one of them.

10.0Love the setting in the country. Far from palas de Rei. You need to take a taxi to get there but it’s all worth it. Quiet. Nice farm house like hotel. The staff absolutely warm and friendly.
