A wonderful stay! I highly recommend it.

10.0

I've read many reviews about the Uros Islands being just a tourist trap. But staying at Manuel's is something completely different. Yes, it's a hotel for tourists, but staying here allows you to experience the real life of the islanders. Tourism is now their main source of income, but they also live and work here normally: they have their own homes, a school, and so on. We went on a boat trip with Manuel, and he explained everything in detail. He's very involved in local life and sharing knowledge about local traditions. He's also a host who cares deeply about his guests. The cottage, which is a lightweight structure on a reed island, is very comfortable. The bathroom is excellent with plenty of hot water and even a heater. Manuel's offers round-trip transportation and truly delicious meals (I recommend the trout). The cottage offers stunning views, allowing you to unwind and relax. I'm very sorry I was there for such a short time. Just remember that it's very cold there in July, so you need to dress appropriately. Manuel, the heater and blankets in bed are great, but you might also consider hot water bottles.

Alles Super
