Location was great and did what we needed
6.0Breakfast was lovely.
− Room wasn’t the cleanest- cobwebs on bedside lamp, broken drawer handle, carpet wasn’t the cleanest, someone else’s hair clips left on the floor and the bed was hard and creaky. Shower head was tiny.
Lovely country hotel
10.0Location is beautiful. The staff were welcoming and friendly. I felt very safe as I was staying there alone. Breakfast was very nice. No frills - just home cooked food.

7.0Dinner was delicious, we were treated by a friend. Good choices, well cooked and staff were attentive to our needs. Breakfast was amazing, even the coffee was tasty. Full English with more besides. The room was small but adequate for our needs with a comfortable bed. The staff were great, the bar was reasonably priced with a good choice, and the Guinness was excellent. The grounds were amazing as were the alpacas. It was lovely quite and peaceful at night. Good value for money
− The shower however was in the bath which was quite high and slippy when inside. I didn't feel safe and at 70yrs old it was no mean feat. Unfortunately we arrived on a very hot day and the room was baking with the windows facing the sun. Only a small window was available to open and the curtains were left open. Although we had a fan in the room and it was much better in the evening, it was quite oppressive when we initially arrived. Leaving the curtains closed and a window opened or fan on may have alleviated some of the problems

9.0The property was in a beautiful setting the area was so lovely and peaceful, the room was clean and very comfortable, the staff were so helpful and friendly highly recommend this property
− Only negative and this was very small was the room was very hot, there was no air con or fan in the room but this was soon rectified when I asked at reception a fan was brought to us quite quickly

Peaceful location
7.0Beautiful location, peaceful. It was lovely to sit and watch the alpacas in the grounds.
− Room was very hot and stuffy with only a small window that opened. The hotel did provide a fan when we requested one which helped. Breakfast was ok but it would have been nice to have some fresh fruit and fresh coffee for the table.
