Charmant séjour dans un véritable château
8.0Cadre magnifique ( jardin avec paons). Chambre spacieuse et bien équipée.
− Salle de bain qui aurait besoin d’être rénovée.
I had an excellent sleep after a long day motorcycling.
10.0The hotel was located in fantastic grounds close to the town centre(5 minutes walk). The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. It was a bit of a maze to get to the room but quite interesting walking around inside the castle when lost 😆
− Nothing
👌
9.0Location, grounds.
Ruthin castle
8.0The staff were very good , the location beautiful,
− Breakfast wasn't great a very dated hot plate . And the food sat in fat the bacon was soggy and beans were cold . Toaster took 5 minutes to cook . All equipment requires updating but food was a decent quality .

10.0The beautiful surroundings, the friendly staff and the magnificent building! I LOVE this hotel!
− Some of the decor does not fit the environment and certain areas were in need of a good clean. The spa needs some tlc!
A place with history and character
8.0We really enjoyed this castle converted to hotel. The grounds were lovely, and the roaming peacocks so beautiful. Our standard room was large and comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. Our dogs were made very welcome. The breakfast had plenty of options. Dinner menu was a bit limited but the food was good and reasonably priced.
− I didn't realise the spa wasn't included. I thought £30 per person was too expensive considering we were staying there so we didn't use it. Bottom line. Don't stay here if you want everything to be totally pristine. It's an old castle still undergoing maintenance and updating. Do stay if you like something unusual, with character and history.
