Zeer vriendelijke begroeting, ook wanneer we van Pairi Daiza kwamen en er pas tegen 21u konden zijn, was dit geen probleem. Lekker ontbijt en mooie kamer. WiFi deed wat moeilijk maar dit was niet echt een probleem voor ons. Vooral een erg fijne, warme en huiselijke sfeer.

− Wij hadden de kamer met het bad, echt een prachtige kamer maar aangezien je enkel een bad hebt is douchen een beetje onpraktisch. Voor ons geen probleem aangezien we graag in bad gingen maar ik kan me voorstellen dat het wat vervelend kan zijn als je meerdere dagen blijft of gewoon wil douchen.

Prachtige kamer in mooie omgeving. Door een blikseminslag was er geen WiFi oftelevisie. De eigenares heeft alles in het werk gesteld maar tevergeefs. Toch onze waardering hiervoor.

− De warmte in de kamer. Kleine werkpuntjes: Her raam´ van het toilet afdekken en het raam van de slaapkamer verduistering geven.

An authentic, cost efficient stay with friendly folks in the French part of Belgium

Very friendly folks running a restaurant business at the house they live in renting out 2 rooms on the second floor. Plenty of space in the room. They also provide a place for small parties and do the catering. An old timer party was going on when I arrived, it was very lively. They provide an authentic French breakfast with pieces of baguette, meat, cheese, marmelade and a yoghurt desert. It was enjoyable.

− A few remarks for future renters of the room(s): - French is the only language that has any practical use. English or Dutch will not help you. - Not for tall >1,90m folks. The corridor to the rooms is rather low and against a sloped roof. I'm 1,86m and had to watch my head. The same with the shower head, I was barely able to fit below it. Same with the bed. - No air conditioning in the room. This is most likely listed, but I'll mention it here anyway. I stayed just after the heatwave in June 2026, so the room was very warm. - A garbage truck came to collect the thrash with a lot of noise on Tuesday morning at 04:40AM right next to the house, so that was an unpleasant surprise. - I had WiFi problems (IP configuration failure) on two phones that the folks were not able to fix. They were very helpful, but their knowledge reached as far as any normal family and in the end I was able to use 4G/5G so this was not a big issue for me. But be aware that the 4G/5G reception is not very good (I used Vodafone).

Das Personal und die Familie waren sehr freundlich! Man sollte sich drauf einstellen das die Familie nur Französisch sprechen aber hat trotzdem gut funktioniert mit der Verständigung. Frühstück war klein aber fein. Es wurden auf Wünsche eingegangen. Die Familie führt auch ein kleines Restaurant. Die speißekarte war nur auf Französisch war für uns ein bisschen schwierig. Aber auch das hat am Ende funktioniert. Der Pari Dariza Zoo war von dort aus in 15 Minuten mit dem Auto gut zu erreichen und auch einfach zu finden.

− Der mini Kühlschrank hat nicht funktioniert. TV war auch nicht möglich. Es wurden nicht wirklich die Zimmer gereinigt, während des Aufenthalts. Kaffee hätte man sich selbst machen können für zwischendurch wurde aber leider nicht aufgefüllt.
