− Poor communication from hosts. Welcome message said key would be in the door but it wasn’t. Tried to call contact number given in welcome message but no answer. Tried contact number on booking.com which was answered to be informed key was actually in key safe with code required. I sent a message the following day about some small issues (bag of rubbish on ground outside, cigarette butts round hot tub, shower not draining). None of these were major problems but nothing was done and I didn’t even receive an acknowledgement to my message.

Rooms are Nice - Property and experience overall could use a lot of improvement

The property itself is old and charming. Once we got to our room, one of the two rooms we reserved was spacious. Both were clean, and the beds were comfortable. That's where it ends.

− The property and overall guest experience need improvement. This isn't about the age of the building - the common areas were messy and neglected. The small sitting area consisted of a few chairs, was not kept up, the lawn was unkempt, and the yard had old cars and messy toys scattered around. There was no staff in sight, and no water or refreshments were available anywhere. This is a remote location - Not having some of these things is an issue after a long day of travel. Breakfast was the worst I've experienced at a B&B: no coffee, only hot water and a few tea bags, cereal served in a shared communal bowl with a pitcher of milk, and a bowl of apples. We walked in and walked out, as did every other guest we saw enter the room. I also want to note that when I booked this trip, I sincerely believed it was part of the Torridon Hotel, which is actually four miles away (and where I had dinner reservations). Overall, I was disappointed. There is so much potential here that just does not hit the mark as is.

The room itself was of a descent size and the furnitue in keeping with the property, bathroom had all required and comfortable. Fairly remote away from the village centre so very peaceful.

− The room was cold on arrival and took a while to heat up, due to it's location amenities where a good drive away and close early, would be good if they provided a fridge in the room so you could have some food with you for the evening if not able to get a meal out due to timings. Wifi dropped out most of the evening which is frustrating as no other means to keep entertained in the evening at the manor. Breakfast was not of my peferrence as the bread and pastry were overbaked and not eatable, unfortunately apart from its location, it would not be somewhere I would stay again.

Det var häftigt att bo i ett sånt pampigt hus! Det var också trevligt att sitta ihop med övriga gäster till frukosten.
