disappointing stay overall
4.0Title: Friendly host but disappointing stay overall The host was polite and communicative, but overall the stay was quite disappointing compared with what was described online. Breakfast was included, but only consisted of a small portion — one egg, one sausage, three slices of bacon, some mushrooms, and a small bowl of porridge. When I asked for one more egg and a bit more porridge, I was charged an extra £5, which I found unreasonable since breakfast was supposed to be included. The breakfast time was also inconsistent. At check-in, we were told it was from 7:30 to 9:30, but on the last day we were informed that breakfast would finish by 9:00, and we had to come down before 8:45. The listing also stated that check-out was by 10:30, yet we were asked to leave by 10:00. The room we stayed in faced a busy main road, with constant traffic noise day and night, which was very different from the “quiet street view” described on the platform. In addition, the toilet drained very poorly — sometimes it took four or five flushes to clear. While the host was friendly, due to the breakfast issue, noise, plumbing problem, and general inconsistency, I would not choose to stay here again.
