It is a beautiful and pristine place to stay with lots of space to walk around and good sized rooms
9.0Helen went out of her way to help with the special circumstances I had. She could also recommend activities and points of interest in the area. She put a lot of effort into the breakfast and making sure we were comfortable.
− A microwave in the dining room would be helpful if you needed to heat up some food you got from town.

Super host in a quiet setting
10.0Helen, our host, was very welcoming from the outset, offering us a cup of tea on arrival. She obviously has a great deal of passion for Lacken and this shows through her enthusiasm and attention to detail. There was a high standard of cleanliness and the rooms were airy and comfortable, generous size and lovely views of the garden. The house has its own gardens which guests can use freely. We enjoyed sitting in the forest by the river and even spotted a Kingfisher! It was lovely to explore the grounds and the old buildings nearby. Helen really has the perfect combination - she has been able to open her home and create the feeling that you are visiting a friend but she is also professional and efficient and is careful to give you privacy.
