Nice hotel, but their emergency lighting is a problem
7.0Kalis viewpoint is well located for town (1 min walk down the hill to the main stretch of restaurants and shops). The rooms are comfortable and staff are friendly and really helpful. I booked transport to the airport from the hotel and paid 300k which is the cheapest you can find in Coron.
− I stayed here almost a week and the room wasn't cleaned once. Not even the toilet bin emptied or anything. Not ideal considering you can't throw toilet paper down the toilets. The bathroom was unclean (the mirror had toothbrush sprays from the last person) and the shower area was a bit gross. The hotel has cute dogs on the ground floor but my word can they bark! When one goes the others are triggered. It was fine for most of the time but it did get annoying! Finally there are a lot of powercuts here. Obviously that is not their fault, but the issue I have was that in every room they have emergency lighting which turns on when powercuts happen. For me there were a few nights of powercuts for 1-4hours+ and at anytime overnight the flood light would come on for hours in the middle of night which meant sleep was really poor. there was no way to turn it off and this lighting was so bright, especially at 4am in the morning. I wouldn't stay again mainly due to this. They need a system which means the lighting doesn't turn on and wake you up at night, considering how many powercuts they had!
