Stay was fine, but we wouldn’t return.

Location was great, only a few minutes to the beach and West Bay but still quiet. The property was lovely and cool so we didn’t need fans although two were supplied. Cereal, OJ and tea and coffee were supplied.

− The property itself was quite tired, peeling paint and shower door needed replacing. The bed was way too short for us and it felt very claustrophobic having such a low ceiling and stairway. The TV disconnected from the WIFI just before the England game which was frustrating, although someone did come along and helped fix it. We also weren’t aware that the garden was communal and looks right into the annex we were staying in.

Great spot to stay at West Bay with a very friendly host

Carol the host was great. The situation of the house is brilliant above West Bay and with a cut through to the beach which was 5 mins away. The room was clean and comfortable and with everything it needed. And I could park there too which was marvellous.

− There wasn't much privacy from the rooms either side, but luckily I had v nice neighbours.

Van alle gemakken voorzien. Vlakbij strand en haven. Rustig gelegen aan een doodlopende weg. We mochten ook eerder die dag gebruik maken van de locatie. Eigenaresse is zeer vriendelijk.

Lovely stay at West Bay in a hidden gem

My room at the Heatherbell Cottage was wonderful. With corner windows one could lie in bed (which was super comfy and big) and have a lovely view outside and/or enjoy the rays of natural light. Even though the room was rather small, it was all the more filled with all that is needed and thoughtfully decorated with care. The cottage is not more than 5 min walking from the centre of West Bay and the sea. The cherry on top: the communication with Carol was amazing and very enjoyable. Definitely recommend this place and would love to come back if I happen to be in the area again. :D

Das Cottage liegt in einer ruhigen Ecke West Bays. Von hier aus ist der Ortskern zu Fuß gut zu erreichen. Bis zum Strand braucht man nur wenige Minuten. Die Gastgeberin ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Während meines Aufenthaltes war es trotz anderer Gäste sehr ruhig im Haus, also ideal zum entspannen.

We liked the location, near to the beach

− 1) Advert implies the accommodation has a kitchen. It does not. Listing would benefit for more clarity 2) Parking is an issue. It would be helpful if the owner demarcated parking spots, rather than asking guests to come back and move cars (while making it clear we were at fault). 3) The bedding is old - The quilt cover had 3 missing buttons and this meant the quilt kept coming out of the cover. 4) The bedroom space is very small. 5) Breakfast in the room was a kettle, milk and a box of unbranded fruit and fibre.
