La atención de Nyamar ha sido excelente. Totalmente recomendable encargarle que cocine la cena. La ubicación es, también, excelente. Hemos tenido la mala suerte de que el edificio de al lado está en construcción, por lo que el día de la llegada tuvimos los ruidos constantes durante casi todo el día, de todas formas, y a modo de "compensación" se nos invitó al desayuno de los dos días. Un gran detalle.

− Las toallas para la ducha son de tamaño para las manos, sería bueno contar con toallas más grandes. En la descripción de Booking se indica que te dan productos de aseo personal, pero es solo una pastilla de jabón. Teniendo en cuenta que a la isla se viaja mucho son maletas no facturadas, sería de agradecer que en el baño hubiera champú y suavizante (de los que encuentras en todos los hoteles de Kenia). Tampoco teníamos sábana de arriba en las camas, algo que nos resultó llamativo. No obstante, es importante recalcar que se las pedimos a Nyamar y nos las dio sin problema de cara a la segunda noche. A pesar de estas indicaciones, resulta un alojamiento totalmente recomendable y al que esperamos poder regresar.

Sea view. Close to beach. Comfortable bed. Decorated and presented with charm.

− It sits next to a very loud construction site that starts around 8am and ends 3-5pm. It was unbearable as I was hoping for peace and quiet away from Nairobi.

A pocket-friendly queit relaxing stay, home away from home, with wholesome food, relaxing terrace.

The breakfast was excellent; fresh fruit and freshly squeezed juice every morning was fantastic, and it's refreshing to have a proper coffee (not instant coffee) for breakfast. Nyama made the tastiest grilled red snapper I have ever eaten, and I have been around the coast many times over the years. He is a superb cook and makes sufficient quantities of food at every meal. He is very helpful, friendly and patient. Very dependable. I loved the balcony and the view of the ocean.

− The dust from the construction next door and the noise, which I imagine will be over in a few months. The rooms could do with a spring clean once the construction is over.

Gorgeous stay in Shela Lamu with the best food ever

Lovely guest house with spacious rooms. Lovely view of the sea from the roof top when you have your breakfast or chill. Nyama (the loveliest man who oversees the property) is extremely friendly and welcoming. His cooking is out of this world and I cannot recommend it enough. Your stay will not be complete without some food made by Nyama. Well located property walking distance to the beach.

− There are mosquitoes in the area but the rooms are netted and the bed has a mosquito net too!

The property caretaker Nyama was really helpful, a great cook, and very reliable. The location of the property was also very nice and the terrace was excellent. The rooms were great and overall the place is very pleasant to stay at. Would recommend others to come. I would love to return with a larger friend group in the future as well.

− There was construction going around the place so some noise and dust but the evenings were still nice. The bedsheets and towels had some minor stains but were washed and smelled normal.

Die Lage der Unterkunft war super, sehr nahe am Strand. Nyama war sehr freundlich.
