A tranquil stay among quiet birdlife and starlit skies with beautiful lack views and indulgent amenities.
10.0Stunning location, brilliant and sophisticated interior design appointments. Warm crackling fire evening and at breakfast, which was delicious and generous and against an ambience of a great playlist. Hosts were warm and welcoming with dedicated and professional attention to detail.

10.0We had such a beautiful stay. The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming, with great conversations that made it feel instantly like home. Even the cute little dog gave us the best welcome. The property itself is absolutely stunning, with peaceful surroundings and views in every direction. Everything has been so thoughtfully curated, from the decor to the lovely quality linens. It honestly feels like stepping into a magazine, Leigh has an incredible eye for detail. I spent a few hours just sitting in the lounge by the fire with a wine and a book, which was pure bliss. Kayaking on the lake was also such a highlight, calm, scenic and so relaxing. Our room was spacious and beautifully appointed, with sweeping 180 degree views over the lake and all day sun. The French doors opening onto the wrap around deck made it even more special. Such an aesthetically pleasing space to be in. Highly recommend staying here. The breakfast at Nagahimi Lodge was absolutely exceptional. The table was beautifully set with candles and fresh flowers, overlooking stunning views of Lake Okareka. With the fire lit and soft music playing, the whole experience felt incredibly special and relaxing. Fresh fruit was provided, and the hot breakfast was made to order and delicious. Easily one of the best breakfast experiences we’ve had while travelling.
