Hidden Gem
10.0A true hidden gem in Aÿ. Valérie and Dominique are among the nicest hoteliers we have ever met. We stay in more than 20 hotels each year, and this was genuinely one of our most memorable experiences. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel welcome. Everything was explained clearly at check-in, parking was arranged on-site, and our room had already been cooled down despite the 32-degree heat outside. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a walk-in shower that fitted beautifully into the historic building. Netflix worked perfectly, there was a coffee and tea maker in the room, and a cold bottle of water was waiting for us. There were even biscuits in the hallway for guests, which of course I had to try. Breakfast the next morning was just as special. Valérie and Dominique welcomed us with incredibly fresh croissants, cereal, fresh orange juice, coffee and omelettes prepared on request. And yes, I had to have a few more of the excellent biscuits as well. The mattress was very comfortable, and every detail showed how much care they put into looking after their guests. Unfortunately, because of the language barrier, I could not fully tell them in person how impressed I was with everything they do. I truly hope they receive many more guests. We originally chose the hotel because it was within walking distance of Bollinger, but the warmth of the hosts is what made the stay unforgettable.
