Fantastic view and a relaxing stay in a countryside home in Sweden.
10.0The accommodation is a two-story building. Hans, Fiona and a big, nice dog live on the top floor. The guest can use the lower level, which includes a bedroom, a large living room with a TV, an office, and a large bathroom with a sauna. Every space is nicely decorated in a personal style, and all the facilities work perfectly, even though the house is old. I have stayed with Sweden Slow Living a number of times, and it is like coming home to old friends. After a long car ride, it is so relaxing to chat with Hans and Fiona and cuddle with the dog. The living room and the bedroom are just above the shore of the river Ljungan, so the view is fantastic. You have access to a tree deck that faces the river, just outside the living room and the bedroom. On the other side of the building is a country lane and a railway track. Although there is some traffic on the road and railway, I haven't been disturbed by that, and I'm highly sensitive to noise. Hans is excellent at cooking, and he has no problem adapting breakfast to your personal preferences or dietary restrictions. Sometimes you can persuade him to make an excellent dinner as well if you ask in advance.
− The location is perfect if you like somewhere relaxing to sleep while travelling. However, the hotel is located in a small village in the countryside. It is nice to walk in the area, but other services or shops are limited. The city of Sundsvall is around 45 minutes away by car.

10.0I have stayed with Hasse and Fiona twice. It is like coming home to Hasse and Fiona, even if the guests have a separate floor. Please note that there are no other guests at the same time, so you have a floor to yourself. Hasse cooked an excellent low-carb breakfast and dinner to me. The first time, I was somewhat scared that the road and train track close to the house would disturb my sleep, but I didn't hear a thing. The view of the river directly in front of the house is lovely. I felt so relaxed after a long drive. Also, the dog makes you feel at home.

10.0Like someone earlier has written “once you get inside the house it is magic”. I agree! Great host, best breakfast I’ve had (included) and just a stairway down to the river Ljungan where you can take a bath.
