9.0Nice old characterful buildings the centre of Poperinge. Clean, good-sized rooms with lovely communal lounge, dining, kitchen and garden area. The staff were very friendly and professional.

7.0Nice spacey room
− First of all it should be mentioned on the Booking.com website that the check in takes place at another hotel. It should also be mentioned that there is no door to the toilet. The staff at the check-in hotel were very helpful, but the hotel itself was quite difficult to find on a dark street. The stairs to the upper floors are very steep, and when we reached the second floor there was no sign indicating room number 4, so we spent quite a while trying to find it. Once we finally found the room, there was yet another very narrow and steep staircase leading up to the top floor. Luckily, we did not have much luggage, but it would have been nearly impossible to carry heavy suitcases up those stairs. It also would not take much effort to install a proper door to the toilet and build a full wall, so that everyone in the room does not have to see you sitting on the WC. Apart from these issues, the room itself was very nice.
