A very comfortable pristine B&B
10.0A lovely location. Spacious well equipped and pristine bedroom and bathroom with comfortable bed and splendid views from the balcony. Substantial hearty breakfast in the spacious, relaxing dining room Helpful, welcoming and very friendly hosts
A very happy experience, one we shall remember for a long time to come.
10.0We couldn't have been made more welcome by Clare, our host. Our room was very comfortable, the breakfast delicious, and we took away a lovely packed lunch on our last day with a flapjack to die for (made by David).
Lovely room in a beautiful location; but you need to follow the B&B style rules.
8.0A large, high quality and spotlessly clean room with a lovely outlook over very attractive countryside. Very comfortable bed.
− Our reception was a bit unfortunate - as an opening gambit we were told we were stupid to use Booking.com, for which we were paying 30% extra. And timings, e.g. for check-in, breakfast were limited and more to do with what suited the property than the customer (which was not very convenient for anyone coming by the infrequent bus service). Mill House changed its status from hotel to B&B after we booked, and the approach is definitely a B&B one.
Perfect B&B
10.0Stayed for 1 night whilst walking St Cuthbert’s Way. Proprietor Clare, is very friendly and welcoming. The room was superb with a beautiful view over the countryside. Breakfast was top notch and vegan diet perfectly catered for. It set us up perfectly for another day of walking. I would highly recommend here and would definitely return.

10.0Beautiful place, warm welcome, lovely breakfast. Highly recommended.
Excellent location, great room & facilities and fabulous hosts.
10.0Best place I stayed when walking St Cuthbert’s Way. Very friendly & helpful owners - immediately offered a pack lunch instead of breakfast when I chose an early start. Room excellent & facilities to dry wet boots.
− No issues - if was great.
