Vi fick en egen lägenhet med kök och badrum. Värden var jättesnäll och gav oss en detaljerad karta med vilken ordning vi borde se stan i och vad som var värt att lägga tid på när vi bara var där en heldag. Frukosten var dukad på bordet i huvudbyggnaden. Mycket trevligt!

Poloha prakticky v centru, vlaky jezdí málo a téměř neruší. Pan domácí je nesmírně vstřícný a milý člověk. Rádi se sem opět vrátíme

Silvio was a gracious host. As others have said, his knowledge of Verona and surrounding areas is excellent. The location was okay, kind of half way between the Centre and the Train/Bus Station. It was in a very quiet location at the end of a cul de sac, around the corner -thank you to the Reviewer who mentioned that detail as it helped. The sheets on the bed were pristine as were the towels and could have been straight out of the packet. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Silvio had listened to earlier reviews about only providing a cold breakfast. We were offered a yogurt, small croissant, toast, a selection of jams, orange squash, one cup of coffee and a fried egg with cheese on top. Whilst basic, it did the job. We had several bottles of water provided.

− We stayed in the 3-bed accommodation. We were not expecting an apartment; just a bedroom and private bathroom. Which we got, of course, but there was no advantage in having an apartment. There was a kitchen with various bits and pieces of equipment available. However, there was no tea/coffee making facilities provided, and despite the kitchen, there was no kettle or small pan that we could boil water for a hot drink. The biggest shock was the air conditioning unit. The a/c unit was based in the kitchen and not the bedroom. Since it was around 30c/31c during our stay we found sleeping very uncomfortable. The a/c unit was roaring away in the kitchen and we just hoped that some of the cooler air would find its way into the bedroom. The bathroom was really dated. No plug in the wash hand basin. The shower was the smallest shower I have ever seen and was really quite grubby around the base of the shower cubicle. The bin in the kitchen was full of the rubbish from the previous guests and not emptied during our stay. We stayed for four nights and used it as a base. There was no reason to return to the rooms and relax for some 'downtime' because the shutters were drawn and the 'balcony' had no furniture on it to sit upon - just a mop. We just used it as somewhere to sleep and shower. On that basis, we would not return to this property. Its location does not make up for the poor quality bathroom and air conditioning in the kitchen.
