We booked this room with some doubts, because reading the not too positive reviews we noticed the host's polemical attitude, who as you can see always responds to every criticism raised in a polemical, rude and quarrelsome way. After careful consideration, since there were no alternatives in the area, we decided to trust and try. Already during the afternoon the host told us that we could not check in because he had commitments, to arrive only after 7 pm. When we entered, he made sure to point out that it was not possible in any way to use the shared kitchen, because it had to be requested in advance and was not foreseen in the contract (why do you have a shared kitchen then?). He reluctantly allowed us to use the fridge, which at the time was off, complaining here too that he had not had a written request in advance. The immediate impression was of a stingy, cheap person, who only thought about not incurring any additional expense to make guests comfortable. Left alone in the room, into a typical medieval house with very thick walls, remained closed for days and damp, we found that the temperature was only 13 degrees. We then contacted the host, who had just left, asking to turn on the heating. At first he refused, saying that then the price must be higher and that if we were cold we could always hide under the covers until the morning. After a heated discussion, in which he also claimed to have generously granted us the refrigerator (which was instead expressly provided for in the rent), he promised to return by the end of the evening (midnight?) to turn on the radiators. In the meantime we took refuge in a warm and welcoming bar, until closing time. When we returned, we found the same cold temperature, no intervention. We were abandoned in a cold room at 13 degrees (outside the temperature was below 10 degrees) by a despicable person who thought he could save money on heating by abandoning us!

− In the morning we woke up in terrible conditions, the cold night had given us a cold and fever. No sign of life from our host, since the payment had already been made in advance. Leaving the property in disgust we called Booking customer service, reporting the incident and asking for measures, also and above all to protect the unfortunate people who would have been attracted to this house to stay. Customer service mediated with the host asking for compensation for the negative service and the health damage caused. Obviously the response was negative, so the support advised us to tell ourselves in this review what had happened, reserving the right to evaluate the suitability of this property to continue its activity as a guest house. Good luck to all those who will face this challenge, hoping to happen on a warm summer evening or advising to bring a heater from home!
