10.0Communication from Roeland was excellent from the moment of booking. He sent me a comprehensive list of things to do, restaurants to book etc. It was so helpful. The Tannery is in a superb location, right on the canal and near 2 bridges. The view was beautiful, as was the room, which is very stylishly decorated. There were some lovely welcoming touches, fresh flowers, macarons and a welcome card. The desk drawer was full of useful stuff on Amsterdam. 2 doors can be opened on to a Juliette balcony so you can sit and take in the city. Really comfortable bed, good shower in a wet room style bathroom. Lots of thoughtful touches in the room including games, first aid kit, ladies sanitary items, umbrella, safe etc. Nespresso machine and pods, kettle with tea bags & milk, mini fridge with a selection of complimentary soft and alcohol drinks. Were we to go back to Amsterdam we wouldn’t hesitate to rebook. Please be aware that there are around 50 very steep and narrow steps from the entrance to the building to the room door. These weren’t a problem for us, good cardio, but may be for some.
