Quirky property and super friendly host
8.0Amazing view from the bedroom and Elizabeth was really friendly. The bed was really comfy and we had everything we needed in the room. The chickens were an added bonus! The unfinished road wasn't a problem
− Unfortunately one of the days it didn't stop raining and the main part of the kitchen is a few steps outside. This added to the quirkyness but not good if you wanted to cook using more than a microwave It wouldn't stop me returning tho

10.0Dejlig, velindrettet hytte med fuldstændig fantastisk smuk udsigt over flod, bjerge og skov. Hyggeligt med besøg af høns på terrassen. Helt stille man hører kun fuglesang.
− Man skal køre af snoet, smal grusvej for at komme til stedet, (enten 10 km grusvej til hovedvej eller 5 km grusvej + færge).

9.0If you’re looking for a secluded, quiet spot on a hilltop surrounded by native bush with an incredible view of a tidal inlet, look no further. The place has everything you need, from coffee pods to electric blankets. It’s cozy, cute, and so peaceful you can hear your own breath at night. I even heard a kiwi call—or was it a mad cow? They sound surprisingly similar! Russell is just 20 minutes away, and friendly chickens will pop by to see if you have snacks. A charming New Zealand slice of heaven.

10.0Absolutely beautiful little corner of the world, me and my boyfriend loved this place. Elizabeth was so friendly and so we're the chickens. Felt very private, we're able to cook and relax whilst also being a good distance from Paihia and Russell for our day trips. Definitely recommend - 5 stars
Incredibly beautiful location and cozy home!
10.0Stayed for 2 nights and had a wonderful time. The location is very secluded and peaceful and the view is just amazing. The room/ sleep out in itself was wonderful too - very cozy and well equipped.
