A very comfortable stay in a lovely little friendly town.
9.0Very friendly host John who greeted us on arrival, gave us good advice & interesting information. John prepared us an excellent breakfast. Parking was free in the town.

A most enjoyable stay
10.0The room was beautiful, the breakfast perfect and the host marvellous. I enjoyed our chats and notional avocados. Really, really nice.
− There was a little bit of traffic noise from trundling lorries in the morning.
John the host is a joy. We had lots of chuckles and nothing is too much trouble.

10.0Alles hat uns gefallen. Es war eine so schöne, geschmackvolle Einrichtung und der Gastgeber John war sehr sympathisch. Das Frühstück mit großer Auswahl wurde von John zuvorkommend serviert und seine kleinen Anekdoten waren eine Bereicherung.

10.0Wonderful and individual breakfast. Very spacious rooms with places to put things- particularly in the bathroom. Sparklingly clean. John is a wonderful host, great character and great conversationalist. Coming in this direction, we factor in an extra night to stay here.

Delightful stay in the centre of Moffat
10.0We chose Kirkview House for its glowing reviews and central location in Moffat. The bedroom is bright and spacious and the great views across to the church and trees make the steep stairs worthwhile. Everything was clean and comfortable and we appreciated the large bathroom. John is a charming host with lots of fascinating stories, and he makes the best scrambled eggs!
