A very enjoyable stay at "The Ship Inn" Bardsea.
10.0We liked everything about "The Ship Inn". We travelled and stayed for three nights with a friend so we had two rooms and both were very tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. We ate in the pub on the evening and the food was superb, as were the selection of drinks. Breakfasts were very enjoyable with a nice selection of fresh fruit, cereals and cooked food along with fruit juices and tea / coffee. This is a family-run pub in traditional style and we felt it had a very friendly outlook and atmosphere. The staff were so helpful and had a cheerful and upbeat outlook, making the whole place so welcoming. It's clearly a favourite for locals and guest visitors alike and it's no surprise that it's so popular. A number of other guests we spoke to were regular and repeat visitors. The village is small and pleasant and is well placed for access to the South Lakes areas and beyond. Our overall experience was very enjoyable and we'll be back again without any hesitation whatsoever. So thank you Katie and all the staff at "The Ship Inn" for making our stay in the area so nice. Keep on doing what you clearly do so well.

9.0The staff were extremely friendly and helpful a credit to the company/manager, breakfast was great with a lot of choice 😋 i would also recommend their evening meals, a good selection especially for fussy eaters like us, nothing was too much trouble 👌 if you want a place that's comfortable and friendly then I would recommend you stay here.
− Although the place was comfortable and such friendly staff, we were a little put off at the fact there wasn't really a snug type of area in which to sit whilst at the bar, which was really set up for diners. Other than that we have no complaints.
