Marjorey was an excellent B&B host who made us feel like welcomed guests. Everything was as advertised and more. As animal persons, getting to meet the cats and dogs was a bonus.

− It's worth mentioning that while the internet was fast, the connection wasn't stable. Cell service (Telstra) was quite weak, too. But if you're there for rest and relaxation, this shouldn't be an issue

Springmead is the perfect location for a quiet country escape.

Springmead is the perfect location for a country escape over the Blue Mountains. Plenty of fresh air and beautiful scenery.

− The house needs a good clean - while it has obviously been vacuumed it could use a thorough deep clean of the windows, bedding (the wool blanket had multiple stains), and bathroom.

Excellent - relaxing, comfortable and a perfect overnight stay.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I did not wish to stay overnight in a motel and was drawn to the rural location and homestead accommodation with breakfast. The location reminded me of my Lake District place of birth and I enjoyed being in a place steeped in 3 generations of family history and feeling ‘at home’. Marjory was an excellent host in every respect. It was a perfect overnight break on my journey north.

Marjory and Greg were absolutely lovely, very kind and accommodating hosts who have plenty of stories to tell and make you feel right at home! The rooms are very comfy and well-kept and the views are absolutely to die for - you can't beat waking up and looking over the mountains in the morning! Breakfast was delicious and very filling, and the dinner (optional extra) we had onsite was also very, very good (check out my photo of the lamb shank, it was enormous)! The cats and dogs are all very friendly and happy to get pats and attention from their visitors. My friends and I had a great time!

− It's a little bit tricky to get to if you're not familiar with the area, but Marjory's text explaining exactly how to find the B&B helped us out a lot! There aren't many shops or restaurants open in the area on weekends, but as long as you're able to travel out a little further it's not too hard to find something to eat!

− There should be kitchen area for cooking, or maybe option for dinner as the restaurant are 15-20 minutes away.

A comfortable getaway

Marjory was an excellent host. The setting was amazing with beautiful views from both the sitting room and bedroom. The breakfast was sensational. The home made muesli was full of fruit and nuts, the yoghurt was homemade as were the blueberry muffins. The croissants were wam and crispy. The rooms were warm and cosy on arrival. The bed was comfortable and the shower was hot and roomy. The quiet was a bonus.
