Ci siamo trovati davvero molto bene in questo B&B. È una struttura semplice, perfetta per chi desidera vivere un’esperienza più autentica e immergersi nella realtà locale di Zanzibar. Il b&b si trova all’interno di un piccolo cortile chiuso da due cancelli, dove ci sono in totale cinque alloggi, di cui uno abitato dalla signora Renata, gestore della struttura. Fin dal nostro arrivo ci ha accolti con grande gentilezza e disponibilità , facendoci sentire subito a casa. Renata ci ha aiutati in diverse occasioni: ci ha accompagnati a prendere la SIM, ci ha consigliato autisti di sua fiducia quando avevamo bisogno di un taxi e ci ha messo in contatto con persone locali per organizzare escursioni. Una nota speciale va alla colazione, davvero fantastica e servita ogni mattina sulla nostra veranda: frutta fresca, succhi preparati al momento, toast, omelette, Nutella, frittelle appena fatte che Renata andava a prendere ogni mattina… e tante piccole attenzioni che hanno reso il nostro soggiorno ancora più speciale. Sapendo che adoro il mango, anche se non era stagione, cercava comunque di farmelo trovare. È un posto semplice, ma proprio questa semplicità è il suo punto di forza: ci siamo sentiti accolti come in famiglia e porteremo con noi un bellissimo ricordo di questa esperienza. Consigliato a chi vuole conoscere una Zanzibar più vera e genuina.

− Rumore al mattino presto causa lavori in corso nella struttura a fianco. Tra gli aspetti meno positivi, segnalo che in alcune giornate prefissate si verificavano interruzioni di corrente nelle ore serali per alcune ore. Da quanto ci è stato spiegato, si trattava di un problema che interessava a rotazione diverse zone dell’isola e non dipendeva direttamente dalla struttura. Purtroppo, queste interruzioni hanno riguardato soprattutto le piccole strutture, mentre i grandi resort erano generalmente dotati di generatori e riuscivano a garantire il servizio senza disagi.

Renata is one of the most amazing hostesses I have ever met! She is super kind, caring and considerate. I am a female solo traveler so staying at a hotel with such a hostess made me feel very safe. The location was very convenient, just 3 minutes walk to the beach and markets nearby. She has created a small paradise, with a hundred years old baobab tree, beautiful flowers, and cute little rooms that were super comfy and welcoming. The breakfast was healthy and delicious! Her son is a Masai and has a shop by the beach, I got some amazing stuff from his shop with a reasonable price, so I totally recommend visiting! When I am back in Zanzibar I will be staying at the Furaha Rena - Kendwa again for sure! Thank you Renata, for everything, till the next time.

Extrem nettes Personal, Maasai Krieger, die mit auf dem Gelände wohnen, sehr leckeres und großzügiges Frühstück inbegriffen, sehr guter Service, viele Katzen und andere Tiere auf dem Gelände, Baobab Baum auf den Grundstück, schöne Atmosphäre, sehr nah zum Strand, Mosquitonetze für die Betten, sauberes Bad, schöne Dusche, lange warmes Wasser und bessere Wasserqualität als sonst anderswo auf Sansibar. Gemeinschaftsküche kann mit benutzt werden, sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis und vor allem eine wirklich nette Gastgeberin, die sich sehr liebevoll um die Unterkunft gekümmert hat und mich abends auch zu Aktivitäten und Shows am Strand mitgenommen hat. Tat sehr gut als Alleinreisender durch diese Art von Unterkunft in Kontakt zu anderen Reisenden und Einheimischen zu kommen.

− Mein Zimmer war recht nah an der Hauptstraße, es gab keine richtigen Fenster sondern nur Gitter davor, sodass man alle Geräusche mitbekommen hat, sei es von Nachbarn, draußen vom Hof oder von der bis spät nachts viel befahrenen Straße. Es gab leider kein WLAN und vor der Unterkunft wurde leider als ich dort war ein neues Hotel gebaut, was manchmal gestört hat. Außerdem hatten die Nachbarn neben mir oft lautstark Musik laufen gehabt und haben nicht so viel Rücksicht genommen. Die Gemeinschaftsküche war zudem sehr dreckig und hinsichtlich Hygiene nicht mit Gemeinschaftsküchen aus Europa zu vergleichen. Mein Mosquitonetz hatte leider auch ein recht großes Loch.

Clean, bright, spacious room. Quiet private terrace. An excellent breakfast that would put many upmarket hotels to shame. Fabulous value for money. I’d stay here again without hesitation.

Renata è una splendida Host! Gentile, simpatica e super disponibile. Furaha è una Homestay semplice, pulita e accogliente. Consigliatissima per chi vuole sentirsi più integrato e non solo un marginale turista. Provare per credere!🔝

− Niente! A volte manca la corrente per qualche ora ma c'è una luce d'emergenza! Hakuna matata
