9.0Very lovely host, delicious breakfast. It was perfect for an overnight stay. Parking possible on the yard. Apartment looked very nicely decorated and in perfect shape.
− There is a steep and narrow staircase as the apartment is in the attic, a large suitcase might be hard to carry up. This is the only negative point i can name.

8.0The hosts were very helpful and informative. Jolanda was very friendly. The facilities were fantastic. The breakfast was great. The room was nice and warm and well appointed. The BnB part of the Dux is very nice.
− Unfortunately the location is not the best. Being on SH1 and near the main trunk line made quite a bit of road and rail noise. That is likely to be the same for all accommodation in Taihape. Stairs are quite narrow and steep so I do not recommend this place for people with limited mobility.
