It was just one night – so we survived it!

A great location.

Cold. No signage to give us directions to the property. No access to the Internet.

Lovely, but a bit far off the beaten track

9.0

The room was beautifully equipped, electric blankets on both beds and a wall panel heater, which was great as the evening was very cold. Proper milk in the fridge was a bonus - I hate powdered milk! Friendly host - and dogs! Great shower, nice fluffy towels and stunning location overlooking the valley.

We didn't realise the property was down a very windy, very narrow road, which we drove down at night, after a hair-raising drive up from Durban, through the roadworks, which made it additionally stressful.

Underwhelming

5.0

The view. Comfortable bed, albeit that it was two singles pushed together with no mattress cover to convert it into a king.

Booked this specific accommodation due to the excellent reviews, and to be honest I felt a bit underwhelmed. The unit felt musty and damp. The windows were all dirty, had cobwebs in all the corners, and have heavy burglar guards which don't open. The windows also don't close properly which didn't help much when the unit was cold. Battled with regulating the gas geyser shower. TV bouquet is open view, no Dstv. Bed are two singles pushed together with no mattress cover to convert it to a king. And found a used toothbrush in the shower? Glad we only booked in for one night. Sorry.
