− •am Strand ist aktuell eine riesige Baustelle mit Baggern von morgens bis abends. Ruhe ist dadurch nicht gegeben und der Strand nicht nutzbar. All dies wurde im Vorfeld nicht kommuniziert •trotz Unterstützung des Kundenservices von Booking.com kam von der Unterkunft kein Entgegenkommen

L'authenticité à la balinaise.

Celui qui cherche l'authenticité d'une maison balinaise (telle qu'il n'en existe quasi plus) ne sera pas décu. Le confort y est rudimentaire mais c'est ce qui fait son charme. Ossature entièrement en bois, maison ouverte sur la nature, salle de bain en plain air et donc douche avec le pommeau pour l'eau froide et une bassine et son récipient pour l'eau chaude. Perso j'ai adoré. Je me suis retouvé nez à nez avec un bernard l'hermite lequel avait pris ses quartiers sous la douche. C'est la nature, belle rencontre ;-) Vous vous réveillez au bruit des vagues (et motos malheureusement) dans un jardin de cocotiers, avec une vache qui broute paisiblement en face de votre logis dans la propriété. La proprio est très sympathique ainsi que le personnel. Vous pouvez manger sur place. Le logement se situe sur une longue avenue laquelle est bien fournie en restos et autres petites boutiques. Fort décu de la plage qui n'existe plus et qui est remplacée par d'énromes cailloux. Les travaux sont toujours en cours et il peut y avoir des nuisances sonores car cela se passe juste en bord de la propriété. Rien à faire dans le coin donc prévoir une location de véhicule.

Ida's Homestay is one of the few places in Bali that has never tried to maximize every square meter for profit, and that is exactly what makes it so special. Instead of packing the property with buildings, there are only a handful of simple bungalows spread generously across a beautiful beachfront coconut grove. There is space, light, sea breeze, and a wonderful sense of calm. The bungalows are very basic but clean and comfortable, with mosquito nets, fans, good lighting, and hot water. Everything works, but this is not a modern hotel and does not try to be one. It is an authentic old-Bali experience that has become increasingly rare. The location right by the sea is beautiful and incredibly relaxing. Even with the current construction work along the waterfront in Candidasa, it was not a problem during my stay. The traditional Balinese breakfast was simple, fresh, and absolutely delicious. I have been coming here for almost 30 years, and the place has retained the same charm and atmosphere that made me fall in love with it in the first place. This place is perfect for people who love nature, simplicity, and authenticity. If you are looking for luxury, modern facilities, perfectly sealed hotel rooms, or a completely controlled environment, this may not be the right choice for you. But if you want to experience the Bali that is disappearing elsewhere, Ida's Homestay is a little treasure.

Beautiful wooden joglo traditional style huts, in a gorgeous palm tree forest, right on the beach in the centre of candi

− Very basic, no minibar as advertised, or coffee/tea,kettle, or even soap, byo 😁

Enjoyable location and a real back to basics stay…and breakfast and coffee was nice 😎

Location was nice, quiet and you could relax by the ocean, even had cows walking about the property…so cool
