A truly unique guesthouse filled with vintage charm, timeless character, and exceptional hospitality
10.0⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We recently stayed at Aquaelberg Place with my two teenage daughters while attending a nearby tug of war competition, and it exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, our host made us feel incredibly welcome. She was warm, caring, and genuinely friendly, making us feel as though we'd known each other for years. We stayed in the Deluxe Family Room, which was spacious and beautifully decorated. The interiors have a timeless elegance with a subtle Parisian boutique hotel feel, blended with vintage charm and thoughtful details. I especially loved the exposed copper pipework incorporated into the basins, showers, and other features throughout the house, adding a unique rustic touch and so much character. The gardens are a peaceful oasis, with winding brick pathways, mature trees, tranquil water features, and charming seating areas that feel like a hidden French country garden. Upstairs, there's also a pool table, which my daughters thoroughly enjoyed in the evenings. Breakfast was an absolute spoil each morning. We chose the smoked trout with scrambled eggs and were instantly hooked! We were also treated to fluffy flapjacks with homemade jam, fresh fruit, excellent coffee, and freshly squeezed juice. Everything was delicious and beautifully prepared. A special mention must go to the resident dogs. They are friendly, affectionate, and clearly very well cared for. They added such a warm, homely touch to our stay. Aquaelberg Place perfectly combines exceptional hospitality, beautiful design, and a peaceful atmosphere. We left feeling relaxed and already looking forward to our next visit. We will definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a truly memorable stay.
− Nothing really comes to mind. If I had to mention one thing, it would be that the sports channel wasn't available for the Springbok rugby game. It wasn't a deal breaker, though, we enjoyed watching it at a nearby local restaurant instead.Everthing this is so close by.
