10.0We stayed at Mountain Laurel Retreat on Victor Rd in “Blue House”. The host sent us prompt warnings about recent storm and closed sections on Blue Ridge Parkway due to fallen trees. Also, provided clear instructions how to find property. WiFi is spotty in the mountains, but we had no trouble following the instructions and found blue house lovely, warm, clean, cozy and very peaceful. Even though our trip was during cold time of year, and some icy conditions in the mountains are expected, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, spectacular views, driving up and down windy roads with very little traffic. Blue house has no internet and no TV – what a bliss! We came back to work completely refreshed. I truly didn’t want to leave and will remember the views from observation deck for the rest of my life. Big thank you to the owners of Mountain Laurel Retreat 😊
