8.0Positives: There was a supply of everything we needed from soaps to rags and towels to dishes. The kitchen and bathroom were clean; the water is excellent, and the freezer dispenses both water and ice. There were live plants and a birdfeeder on the deck, and the grounds were well kept and mostly free of poison ivy. The spacious wraparound deck was in excellent condition with a hanging swing, a picnic table, and a table with chairs. Cons: The cabin is a lot smaller than it looks in the promo pictures; the space is cramped. The bathroom connects the kitchen and ground floor bedroom but it lacks an exhaust fan so steam, sounds, and smells leak into the adjoining spaces. Walls in the main area and bedroom were incredibly dusty and look like they may never never been cleaned. There are three other cabins close by and one can only gain access to the creek by walking down the driveway in close proximity to two of the cabins. It is a limited space and the 25 acres mentioned in the promo must all be located up the steep path directly behind the cabin. Our teenager walked the entire path and stated that it was all trees without viewing areas or open spaces. Recommendation: Excellent site for hours of quiet contemplation and bird watching from the back porch.
