This home is very beautiful and serene. The beds are comfy but if you sleep in the room with the heater in the closet get out your ear plugs or turn off the heat at night. There was no coffee grinder which was disappointing. The light bulb in the bedroom with the heater was broken not working but every time we had a situation our helper responded quickly and kindly. We wished we could see out a window to the street because it rained when we were there and we felt a little closed in. But it was really a beautiful place

The house was cute and looked very new. The decor was, of course, beach themed and adorable. The beds were very comfortable. The fireplace was a nice touch and kept us warm. The unfortunate part was a broken toilet seat, a bedroom light that stopped working after the first night, soap dispenser that didn't work and a noisy furnace in the 2nd bedroom closet that seemed to run non-stop. Broken things were reported but we never heard from the host and nothing was ever done.

They had everything you really needed for a stay, full kitchen with microwave, blender, toaster, pots and pans and dishes and cutlery. There's included dishwashing soap, laundry detergent, board games, books, beach toys, it's crazy how many amenities they loan you. Towels, bedding, spices, there was even flour, sugar, bbq briquettes (and bbq grill) and firestarter fluid. Everything was very clean when we arrived. The house was perfect, quiet neighborhood right off 101, great food around you and a gas-station style mini-mart which has most conveniences.

Great little spacious place. Would stay again. Only thing i recommend is proper toilet paper and trash bags there wasn’t any provided. Beach very close by and convenient washer and dryer.

Rockaway Beach

When we first walked into the cottage, there was a pair of cleaning gloves on the back of the couch. Innocent mistake I'm sure. But then the next morning there was only one fork in the drawer. It wasn't until the morning we were leaving (the third morning there), I opened the dishwasher and it was filled to the brim with clean dishes from the previous guests! Needless to say we did not empty the dishwasher. If I wanted to unload somebody else's dishes, I would have stayed home.
