10.0Our family of 4 really enjoyed staying here. It really does have a whimsical feel to it, and we were instantly happy and excited with what we saw when driving onto the property. The cottage was cute, cozy, and clean. Once you drive through twisting, tree lined roads and forest, you arrive at an open area among the hills that is in a very quiet spot in the mountains. We were able to enjoy the outdoor spaces during the day and come inside to a comfortable cottage while still enjoying the nature views through all the windows and cute sunroom. Our daughter especially enjoyed that space with the hammock chair, calling it the "chill room." The den with a reading area and books was cozy and my favorite area to read and spend quiet time. We enjoyed using the fire pit outside, with wood provided, and made smores. There is also a rustling stream nearby that is pretty. At one area of the stream the kids enjoyed exploring and found some salamanders to look at. Everything we needed for a comfortable stay and to prepare our meals was available at the roomy cottage. So nice that the owners provide a good selection of board games, cards, and even table tennis. The large dog run area was a nice surprise and was a safe way for our small dog to enjoy the outdoors with us as well. The cottage was great as a whole and all the nice little touches made it a pleasure to experience.

8.0Nice little cottage. Love the property. Beds are tempurpedic mattresses over standard frames so didn't do great for my back, but that's just me and the couch was fine for sleeping. Needs more substantial curtains as the ones they have are a little thin. Not great in the morning. But enough with the gripes. I liked the place and will definitely try to stay there again.
