Great town, but the apartment is a steep climb
8.0Hard to judge this fairly and completely. It is in a truly wonderful location - Sala Comacina is a beautiful spot on Lago di Como without the tourist hustle and bustle. And the apartment, once inside, is great with a full kitchen and pretty good views of the lake (if you stoop down to look through the portal windows). But I can give this particular spot a great review because they failed to disclose that you have to climb 70 steps to get to the unit through often unlit halls. If you are a bunch of 20-something backpackers, I'm sure that's no problem. But my wife and I are in our 60s, and carrying 2 suitcases up 4 flights of stairs is not just a pain, it's a danger to our health!
