Excelente viaje
9.0Intalaciones bonitas, limpias y la mayoria del personal muy atento.
− El trato por parte del personal no es muy grato, pero el 95% del personal con un trato super atentos y amables
Go to Playa Grande. It was far superior.
7.0The grounds and view are stunning. Whale watching from the infinity pools is hard to beat. Walk up to the chapel. The view and the church really special. The activity director was a lot of fun.
− Our room was sad. Missing ornaments and splotch paint on the walls. Dusty throughout and dirty floors. Our patio lights didn’t work. No complementary water ever in the rooms and if you ask housekeeping, you are told to go buy it at 3x the cost. We were also told to not drink the tap water. Two star places in MX make water available. (Apparently, this water gauging at the resorts in Cabo is typical). Food was hit and miss. Good one night (risotto) and the worst rigatoni I’ve ever had the next. We did not do all inclusive as we knew we would eat off campus a lot and I’m glad we didn’t have the food package as they seemed to heavily limit the number of all inclusive diners- no walk ins. We could walk-in because we were paying full price. The pools were dark very early but so were the lights around campus - 7 or 8pm so walking was impossible in parts without your flashlight. They played the same playlist everyday. 80s music. A little too Groundhog Day. No nightlife to speak of here. Staff in general were decent but not friendly except for the ones hitting on our daughters every day. This was our second stay and definitely our last.
The hotel is beautiful
9.0Great variety of restaurants and pools, with a beautiful high quality spa
− Not enough sun loungers for groups to reliably sit together
We will return
7.0We enjoyed the size of the villa and the pools. Daniel, our butler, was exceptional and we would request him upon our next visit
− The food was not very good
DO NOT STAY HERE! Dangerous and unsafe conditions! Avoid at all costs! Charged despite desperate plea for cancellation d
1.0Let me first say for reference that over the last ten or so years, I have booked 30+ hotels through Booking.com and have not ONCE left a negative review - until now. We were offered absolutely deplorable accommodations at Hacienda Encantada and were in the room for less than FOUR MINUTES due to unsafe conditions for myself and my children and yet charged for FOUR FULL DAYS - including all food and beverage for four people - despite never staying at the property. Go ahead search reviews for MOLD and MILDEW and you’ll find a systemic problem mentioned in reviews over the last decade - one of many unsafe and unhealthy issues we encountered in our short time on the property. As a mother to two young children, it was imperative that I not let them stay here. This would be a serious issue for older guests as well. Please read our story and save yourself the experience of ever staying at this dangerous and disappointing hotel.
− To start, the front desk staff was unable to find our reservation even though we paid in full more than a week prior. They demanded full re-payment again and only relented when I showed my bank statement. Upon doing so, the staff member took a photo of my statement with her personal cell without my consent - deeply unprofessional and worrisome. We were then moved to their sister property - also without our consent/input. We then waited for more than two hours for our room to be ready. Upon entering, we were hit with the most horrendous smell of MOLD, SEWAGE or something worse - so awful that we literally gagged when hit with the odor. The staff member who let us into the room agreed that there was a strong smell & informed us that a different room would be no better as it was part of the hotel-wide HVAC system. It smelled like a deceased rodent in the HVAC system mixed with pervasive mold/mildew. It was nauseating to simply stand in the room. There was visible mold in multiple places in the room. The bellhop arrived w/ our bags & immediately agreed that the smell was severe & we should not be expected to stay in the room - he kindly took our bags out right away. We hurried outside to the balcony for fresh air where we unfortunately found that the patio opened up directly to an active construction zone with jackhammering/drilling. Concrete dust & debris was blowing right into our room filling it with UNSAFE, UNHEALTHY AIR TO BREATH. Again, when we asked to move we were told every room available in Vista would open to this construction. With two young kids with existing respiratory issues and a husband with a severe mold allergy, WE ABSOLUTELY COULD NOT STAY HERE. We were told other rooms were available by management but having been told they are all on the same HVAC system & all construction-adjacent, this was not a solution. After almost four hours we left the property with nowhere else to stay.
