10.0Great stay and a very quiet and relaxed upscale property. Staff knew who we were before we arrived and were ready a willing to assist to ensure any specific wants or needs were met. The surrounding forest and lake were large and completely open for exploring. Rooms are huge and incredibly well appointed. Food is 5 star for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

8.0I booked The Chatwal Lodge for my fiancé's birthday, and it was an unforgettable experience. The property, from the stunning grounds to the beautifully rooms and the lodge itself, was absolutely breathtaking. I've never felt more at peace. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. Trinity took care of us for most of our stay and was incredibly kind. Megan’s cocktail-making class was a highlight—so much fun. Ruben and Sonia, who drove us to our lodge and activities, were wonderful as well. The reason for my 4-star rating, and I offer this as constructive feedback, is the food. We’re big foodies and have visited other all-inclusive resorts like Blackberry Farm, and the culinary experience at The Chatwal Lodge didn’t quite measure up. Being so close to New York City, with access to top chefs and local farms, there’s a lot of potential to elevate the dining experience. If the food had matched the level of everything else, this would have easily been a 5-star review.
