Falsely advertised property, hot water did not work. Zero attempt from the host to try to resolve it

It pains me to write a bad review on booking.com. I hardly ever do it. But in this case it is totally justified. The host advertised an apartment that was completely different from the one that was provided. Not one of the pictures matched the actual apartment we were staying in, which was considerably scruffier than the one advertised. We tried to resolve this with the host and asked to be moved to the apartment we had paid for but were told "I have let that one to someone else". Attempts to resolve this further with the host have been consistently ignored. I have waited for 1 month to leave this review, which I think is giving more than sufficient opportunity to put things right but have been ignored by the host and as yet to receive any resolution through booking.com. I would advise against booking this property. It is totally unacceptable to advertise one apartment and then provide a different one and insult the customer by saying "all the apartments are the same" when they are clearly not. In addition the hot water in the shower did not work and the oven was faulty. The apartment was also dirty, and the furniture and wall paint was old and tired despite being presented as immaculate in the pictures. The pin provided on Googlemaps of the property was in completely the wrong place, meaning we had to walk a considerable distance with our bags after arriving and being told by the host we were in the wrong place. This was a terrible and stressful experience, and the host made zero attempt to put it right. Don't stay here.

This place could be great...

Pros: great location, host was very responsive before check in and when we had issues with the hot water. Accommodation is nicely decorated and very spacious.

− Our main issue was the cleanliness (photos attached). Most of the reviews for this accommodation are so positive and note how clean it was. But unfortunately our experience might have been the exception. There were cobwebs, dust and spiders. The shower didn't look like it had been cleaned as there was hair and dirt on the shower floor. No heating (which is understandable as it seems to be the norm in mountain towns, however a portable heater or something could be very useful). The hot water ran out on the first day as the gas tanks hadn't been replaced. It would have been nice for this to have been checked before our arrival and topped up if needed. The mountains are very cold and a hot shower is a necessity. The host was very responsive once we told him the situation and organised a replacement tank the same evening.

El departamento es demasiado cómodo y agradable, lastima que no había estacionamiento, bueno ahí lo menciona, pero en general la estancia muy bien, buena ubicación, servicios los adecuados, agua caliente y las camas muy cómodas, después de caminar en San Cristóbal 🤭, disfrutamos mucho la estancia. Y él anfitrión estuvo en contacto y muy atento.

− Como lo mencione solo el estacionamiento, tuve que buscar una pensión.

Absolutamente todo estuvo perfecto. Las camas cómodas, la cocina limpia, la sala muy acogedora. Sin duda volveremos a ese departamento. No está lejos de los andadores pero si tienes que caminar un par de cuadras. Al final vas a caminar a san cristobal de las casas.
