We did not check in we did not stay. They would not give us a refund their total garbage and dishonest. They owe us $309
1.0There was nothing to like about the property. The entrance we thought was the entrance was the back of the Spanish grocery we went from behind their counters around the front into a door. Code.
− Well, I did not like about the property is that I’m handicapped. I can’t use stairs and they didn’t say there was no elevator. Also the man with the crack pipe who was so politely let my husband go down the stairs first was also discouraging. I don’t usually count drug addicts. That I’m paying for and I hope he seeks help.

− I feel that the name and photos are very misleading. It's called Cottage Suites because it's on Cottage Street. But the photos of the lake make it seem like it's an actual cottage when in fact it's just a tiny room above a Mexican restaurant. The AC wasn't working and it was 91 degrees during the day. Not a good thing for me because I have heat sensitivity that affects my heart. I had to go to the store and buy 3 fans for airflow and it brought the temperature down to 87 at night. In addition the maintenance guy came by and couldn't get the AC working so we spent 2 nights sweltering. Turned out that all the AC units in the building have to be set at the same setting at the same time for them to work. I heard him talking with the property and stating that the unit we were in has been having problems with the AC unit not working. Now let's talk security... The building has an outside lock on the door that I found on more than one occasion left open with the deadbolt used to prop the door open. The inside door to the unit we started in had a doorknob that wasn't screwed in properly and was extremely loose. On our second night there, someone got into the building and was trying door knobs. Our know was tried also, someone looking to get in possibly. Luckily I carry a lock bar when I travel so the door was braced shut, but I hate to think about what would've happened if I didn't. The neighborhood isn't what I would call a "good" neighborhood, and the constant sirens and people yelling outside were unnerving. Finally, we were told to not make noise out of courtesy for the neighbors between 8pm-8am, which was fine, but the neighbors obviously didn't care about this. The person next to us was yelling and playing the TV loud and the upstairs neighbor would wait till 10pm and start dropping things on the floor and what I can only describe as the sound of the further being moved around constantly.
Spotless small studio flat. Bring earplugs as lots of traffic noise. Bargain stay
8.0We stayed in 205 so the room looked very different from photos showing flat 204, as our room was really small! However it was spotlessly clean and bed sheets and linen were very nice. Easy walk from the shortline bus station. Great little restaurant and shop below. Great information & flexible check in. Free parking, but no information about it - I think there are spaces at the back which are marked spaces, but we weren't sure so we just parked in the open yard at the back (next to the cement company truck) bargain stay & would return.
− I felt a little sketchy when we arrived on a Friday night, because people hanging out and music etc, but all that died down around 11pm and didn't have that on Saturday and Sunday evenings. The biggest issue was the traffic (and that's not the fault of the property, but inevitable because of location) lots of trucks, traffic and music from cars. We used earplugs and got on with it. we stayed mid-May and it wasn't too hot, we couldn't get the AC to work but wasn't an issue, though we did get a message about AC settings from host (though it was after we'd checked out!)
