8.0There is no phone number for communication,so emailed the property 72hrs in advance, heard nothing till the day before were due to go. The shepherd hut was great for a romantic weekend away.
Perfect little hut
10.0Absolutely loved our stay here! We stayed because we went to Skomer for a daytrip and very glad we booked this place. The shepherd's hut was in its own field with a sea view and private seating area. Very peaceful and secluded. Very short walk away from a little beach (pebbles rather than sand). Fridge was off when we got there - you have to hold the button down longer than you think to turn it on, but otherwise everything was perfect. Would absolutely stay again.
Perfect off grid spot!
10.0The most beautiful secluded spot on a very small estate, overlooking fields and the sea. The accommodation is well thought through with everything you need (nice bed, normal toilet and shower (a tight squeeze!) kitchen (2 x gas hobs and basics included). There’s a lovely little log burner in the corner with logs there but in September we didn’t need it. There’s a picnic bench outside and further seating around the fire pit which also doubles as a bbq with a spectacular view. The sky at night is incredible as there’s no light pollution. As you’re in a field in the middle of nowhere, the cabin is solar powered so there’s only USB power (and only one of the 2 sockets worked on our stay, but it’s enough as we only needed phone charge) - we also got EE 4G. To be expected, you also get a few creatures visiting but nothing too scary (we had a pet shrew for a few days so don’t leave food out). The fridge is teeny but works ok on solar and there’s plenty of hot water (just be careful in the shower!). Fab place to stay - got to be one of the most scenic spots in the UK (apart from the random Astra in the field) and also to explore from. You’ll not find a local pub to walk to but the nearby village of Dale has a fab seafood place and is only 15 mins drive away.
