7.0We enjoyed our stay, the house was very nice and comfortable. The Thornbury area is nice and there are a few tram lines around the property for those without a car. If coming with a car, there is a private parking space underground that is very safe but not easy to fit in especially for bigger cars. Unfortunately, we didn't enjoy the whole procedure before checking in. We are traveling a lot and use Booking.com as it makes the booking, paying and managing reservations a lot easier. This property though wanted to do everything separately : sending me an email outside of the booking platform, checking my ID through a separate website and asking for a full payment through another website (it said on booking.com that I only had to pay 50% before checking in). The payment had to be done within 48h or they would cancel my booking, although the booking was confirmed by booking.com. I decided to do the full payment as I didn't want my booking to be cancelled. As soon as I entered my data on the website, my bank locked my card as the website seemed suspicious. This gave me a lot of unnecessary trouble during my trip and could have been easily avoided if StayCentral would just use the booking.com platform like all the other properties do. We didn't appreciate that the property forgot to tell us that the washing machine was not working but they did send a technician who came and fix it 3 days later.
