Property looked on from outside and nice grounds close to Alston.

− Property not actually booked and no way of providing service. Despite booking and confirmation through booking.com, stated had never received a booking. Called number for property and somewhat unhelpful over phone and directed to call booking.com who were able to resolve the issue helped to rebook elsewhere. Road down to property is in need of some repair. No-one on site including at hotel next to cottages. All done remotely and AI assistant on call initially.

The cottage was really spacious and comfortable, with plenty of room to unwind. The beds were super comfy, and we both slept really well. The cottage is bright and welcoming, and the fire made it feel extra cosy.

− The road leading to the cottage is very bumpy and we were a bit worried about driving our van over it.

The property is pleasant and with easy access for parking outside. Perfectly located and situated next to a footpath The property was lovely and warm and a had lovely comfortable rooms

− Unfortunately, the kitchen was poorly equipped, making meal prep difficult, and the unusual layout made seating a challenge. The design has been altered from the original pictures, likely to meet fire regs, resulting in an awkward L-shape with a table that doesn’t quite fit. Additionally, the main driveway from the road is extremely uneven, with large potholes

Perfect cottage, in a great location.

Clean, comfortable property. The associated hotel offers guests the option of breakfast which is well worth booking. Staff very helpful and welcoming.

− Need to turn the bedroom radiators off or it gets too hot to sleep! But I’d rather it was too hot than too cold, just need to turn the thermostat down as property is well insulated so holds the heat.
