The Fig Tree Shanklin♡

First time to Isle of Wight, would definitely recommend here.

If staying in Shanklin this is in the perfect spot. Everything you want or need within a 10 minute walk. We had one of the suites facing the front of the hotel and it was lovely. Great room size, the bed was really comfortable and a nice balcony to sit in the mornings or evening. The staff were welcoming and very friendly throughout our stay.

− I cannot think of a single thing that would stop us from going back to the Fig Tree.

Great location, comfortable room, lovely breakfast.

− General cleaning was not what we would expect, bathroom extractor and wall next.to it were dirty, bathroom floor particularly shower area was dirty - brown when wet. Floors downstairs were in need of a hoover/mop. Chair in breakfast room had crumbs on it. Sensor on bathroom light needs adjusting. We had to walk right down to toilet for light to come on and when showering at the other end, it went out mid shower. Leaving me in the dark on a wet floor. With no choice to walk in the dark to the other end. We would have mentioned in check out but there was no one at reception and no answer when we rang the bell.

Great stay and would come back.

Great location, great staff, very clean, super bathroom and nice breakfast. We also raided the fig tree in front of the hotel and they were delicious.

Das Frühstück war sehr gut. Die Lage ist zentral. Die Zimmer grosszügig. Freundliches Personal.

− Der Badezimmerboden war nicht sauber. Auch die Teekannen beim Frühstück waren wirklich eklig, da die alten Teerückstände vom Vorgebrauch (Schwarztee) nicht geputzt, sondern nur ausgespült wurden.
