The air conditioning in my original room was not functioning properly, so I requested a room change for my second night. I was asked to return after 3:00 PM the following day, which I willingly accommodated, despite having already paid for a two-night stay. However, when the room change was finally arranged, I was moved to a significantly smaller room that appeared much older and less well-maintained than the one I had originally booked. To make matters worse, on the night of my check-in, reception staff knocked on my door at 12 midnight, stating that there had been a mistake with my registration by the previous shift and that they needed to rectify it. Being disturbed at 12:00 AM for an internal administrative error was highly unprofessional and disruptive. Overall, the experience was disappointing. The handling of the room change, the downgrade in room quality, and the late-night disturbance reflected a lack of consideration for guest comfort and service standards.

Paid RM219 for two nights, only to end up with terrible rooms. The first room had a broken bed. I asked to change rooms, but the next room had a broken air conditioner. Then I agreed to pay a bit extra for a deluxe room, but that room had no curtains on the window and no bathroom light. After that, I requested a king room. It was more spacious, but there were cockroaches and the room was still dirty. On top of that, I had to pay extra again. At first, the staff asked me to pay an extra RM40 for two nights, but said I could pay for one night first. The next day, when I wanted to pay the remaining RM20, the staff suddenly said no need to pay because of the inconvenience caused. So what if I had already paid the full RM40 earlier? Honestly, I wasn’t the only guest complaining. There were another four guys repeatedly asking to change rooms because the conditions were so bad. The staff kept saying it’s a budget hotel — I understand that. But I’ve stayed at the Damansara Jaya branch before and it was great. I don’t mind staying in a budget hotel, but at least the room condition should be acceptable.
