10.0My highlight was meeting the owner and his wife. So knowledgeable about many things. It was a delight to talk to them and learn about the culture. This is a small hotel but it was really well kept up and very clean. The bathroom was great - a kitchen to make coffee and tea and a small breakfast if you wanted it. Not many restaurants nearby, but one that is an 8 minute walk. I chose to eat there several times (named "Coffee Boss"). Great selection of cafe drinks and a great menu of food. Very plant atmosphere and servers. It was a perfect place to be that was close to the airport.

10.0I'm so pleased to have stayed at the Ared Villa. This is a great location - near the airport - and a great price - so affordable for the quick night or two after arriving or before departure from Colombo. The proprietor and his wife are the kindest people; they do a lot of good work for their community and the country (so please support them). There are at least 4 good restaurants within a 10-minute walk from this safe neighborhood.
