Von der ersten Minute an haben wir uns hier unglaublich wohlgefühlt. Janik, seine Mutter und das gesamte Team sind herzlich, hilfsbereit und mit viel Liebe bei der Sache. Die Anlage mit nur wenigen Zimmern ist sehr gepflegt und bietet eine entspannte, familiäre Atmosphäre. Besonders das Open-Air-Bad mit Blick ins Grüne war traumhaft. Das Essen war frisch zubereitet und geschmacklich ein Highlight – sowohl Frühstück als auch Abendessen waren top! Die Organisation unserer Safari lief reibungslos. Auch der Kochkurs ist sehr zu empfehlen. Bald wird es zudem einen Pool geben. Vielen Dank für diese großartige Zeit – wir kommen sicher wieder!

My favorite stay in Sri Lanka! Janik, his mum and the friends that help them run Amba Kola are all so kind, warm and welcoming. They make you feel like one of the family! The cooking class was great fun, you're shown how to make a whole array of dishes and you create an absolute feast which you tuck into afterwards! The breakfast and dinners are also all freshly prepared and so delicious. They've recently had a beautiful swimming pool installed, perfect for cooling off after a safari (which they arranged for me and was a highlight of my trip). The most perfect stay in Udawalawe!

The whole experience was fabulous from the accomodation to the food, cooking classes and safari as well as a personal tour from Janice the owner. As a solo traveller I was well and truly spoilt. I would highly recommend Amba Cola to anyone looking to stay in this area.

We had a fabulous stay! The place is so well maintained with all the good details. The owner Janik is such a nice person, he helps people and animals. Janik mother’s cook is super, the best food we had during our whole trip at Sri Lanka. 这个小旅店实在太好了，这个品质用这个价格住简直不可思议。老板Janik人非常非常好，认真对待每件事和身边每一个人和小动物。Janik妈妈做的饭实在是太好吃了，她开的餐馆曾经是Ella地区的餐馆第一名☝️，没想到我们能有这个口服，这两天的食物是我们在斯里兰卡十天中吃到的最好吃的饭了。旅馆外面是无边无际的甘蔗地，带上店里的三条小狗在田间漫步十分美好。本来只打算住一晚，到了以后直接又延了一晚，把在斯国的最后一晚也贡献给了这里。强烈推荐一定要来体验一下！

This place is amazing. From the minute you arrive you can feel the pride this family operated business has in their lovely (and spotlessly clean) establishment. There's a genuine care for their guests that you can feel coming from everyone in the team which is rare nowadays. It was wonderful spending a few days where you're made to feel special. We did the cooking class and safari and both experiences will be forever remembered. Especially the food - the best we had in Sri Lanka. They have everything you need, prices are fair and you'll have a wonderful experience.

Amba Kola is simply fantastic. I stayed with my teenage son and it was the highlight of our trip. The cooking class with Swarna was wonderful and my son loved it. Spending two hours with this lovely lady and brilliant cook was a privilege and the 9 course meal we prepared was gorgeous. It's a family run hotel and they couldn't be more helpful, you feel like one of the family. They also do safari tours too in their own safari jeep, and are just minutes from the park gates.
