We wanted to stay somewhere in middle of the island so that we could walk in any direction to easily get to any of the beaches, and this villa is perfect for that reason. It's very spacious and after a hot walk back from the beach each day the beautiful pool was wonderful to cool down in. The lovely staff came every day to service the villa, and if there was anything we needed we could text Scallywags Resort. The delicious breakfast (you can choose one of 8 different meal options) is served at Scallywags Resort, a lovely 10 minute walk away, in a lovely beachside setting, and the staff there are attentive, so friendly and very hard working people. And finally, yes there's a mosque very close by that starts its morning prayers over loud speaker at 5am, but it doesn't last long and, as another reviewer put it, it's a reminder that we're visitors to another country with a unique and wonderful culture. I can't wait to return!

Lovely private villa close to all the main places, but also very close to the mosque

- Lovely villa with big open living space and good sized pool for our group of 5. - The property was regularly cleaned throughout our stay and the staff were all very friendly. - the location is great, it’s easy to get everywhere on the island with bikes which are easily hired. - the air con is good in all the rooms - the rooms all have good sized bathrooms

− - be warned, the villa is right next to the islands main mosque, so call to prayer will be a daily 5am alarm clock for you. This is not mentioned in the description which is a bit cheeky. Everything felt a bit dirty when we initially checked in - a few dead cockroaches in the bathrooms, dirty crockery in the kitchen etc, but this improved after the first housekeeping visit. - the living area could do with a large rug or similar as it’s so slippery after getting out the pool

Plenty of room for all five of us (parents + three teenage kids). The pool was a great spot to cool off between activities, and being able to use the beach club loungers on top of the villa itself was a real plus. Teguh and his team, including Herman and Lan, looked after us brilliantly throughout. Nothing was too much trouble, and they were happy to bring breakfast to the villa if we didn't fancy the walk down to the restaurant or needed to leave early for our dive course. Worth mentioning for anyone booking: there's a scooter rental shop and a bicycle rental shop just a few dozen steps from the villa. We hired electric scooters and it made exploring the whole island easy. Can't recommend this enough if you want to get around properly rather than relying on walking or bikes alone. Excellent value for money and we'd stay again without hesitation.

− The call to prayer from the nearby mosque is fairly loud, especially just before 5am. Bring earplugs and you'll sleep fine.

The garden and pool area was gorgeous and we loved hanging out on the sun lounges by the pool. There are 3 spacious bedrooms each with their own bathroom and a spacious decking area. The breakfast was good and included in the price.

− The accomodation was right next to a mosque and the call to prayer was very loud at 5am and lots of times during the day.
